Seeds of Hope
HFK Young Professionals:
Hope for Kabingo was founded on the idea that planting one seed of hope could change the trajectory of a community - that true and lasting change and leadership will come through educating the youth. Over 14 years, HFK has sponsored hundreds of students and truly watched the power of education come full circle. Seeing this power, we asked young professionals in the area to provide us with business plans. Our YP subcommittee has already awarded 3 recipients.
As our last project, we would like to fund the remaining 5 young professionals grant applicants. We would love to fund them all if we could!
We ask you to consider joining us one more time as we begin this final project to launch this next generation of sponsored young leaders so that they, in addition to the villagers of Kabingo, can continue the work of Hope for Kabingo for years to come!
For our final Hope for Kabingo fundraiser, we present Hope for Kabingo's Young Professionals - continuing to water the Seeds of Hope.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 making this the largest Hope for Kabingo fundraiser to date - we have board matching up to $7,000!

Young Professionals That Need Your Support
Achilles
Achilles received schooling from HFK & now teaches at the school. He started a project of promoting organic agriculture as a way of preserving the environment and reducing excessive use of chemicals in agriculture. His goal is $3,700 to roll out this program to other farmers (with training) in hopes of expansion!
Thomas

Aloys
Aloys was sponsored by HFK to receive a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science. He is currently employed by Kyotera district Local government; however, he also started a Clinic in Kyotera called Galen Domiciliary Clinic to help the surrounding community. His dream is to upgrade the Clinic to a Medical Center with proper equipment to provide more services to the community. The donation will help improve the health of people in the community, saving more lives. Aloys' goal is $5,000.
Martha
Martha was sponsored by HFK and went on to become a mid-wife with advanced training in HVI counseling & guidance. In February 2022, Martha opened up a medical clinic, Mother, Child Health Care & General Clinic, located in Nsambya Kampala district. The clinic has provided different health and social life-support services in the community. Martha dreams of expanding her maternal clinic and purchasing additional equipment! Martha’s goal is $8,000.

David Tebandeke
Yes, our beloved HFK Pillar Leader David!
David was awarded $9,000 HFK grant money to start a plumbing business, “TEBANDEKE PLUMBING EXPERTS” - and hopes to provide affordable plumbing & careers for other villagers. We are excited to see how David soars!

Joseph
Joseph was awarded $5,600 HFK grant money to start a bank! His bank will help to support villagers in need with special projects. He will also use this as an opportunity to teach the villagers about financial wellness.

Dorah
Dorah was awarded $9,800 HFK grant money for her Girls Empowerment Project - teaching young vulnerable girls how to sew school uniforms and sweaters. She will use this grant money to purchase more sewing machines, embroidery machines & continued education.
